Our client, based in Dublin 4, is looking for a Mainframe Engineer for a permanent position. The Engineer will have an influence on the team
and have a good knowledge of development concerns in an IBM Mainframe
environment. You will be responsible for defining, isolating, and reproducing the problems encountered by customers. You will also provide product expertise, application source code debugging ,developing workarounds while working on a team of software engineers in order to determine and solve the root cause of failures
A minimum of 3 years experience is needed and some knowledge of industry standards and trends, which should
include technical knowledge (such as CORBA,EJB, J2EE and XML). Have good knowledge of development tools and debugging techniques and have a working knowledge in at least one OO programming language is preferred. Working knowledge of at least one mainframe programming language. Eg. Cobol, PL*I
